Colon cancer screening

23-year-old man is evaluated for colon cancer risk. Colon cancer was recently diagnosed in his 50-year-old mother. Colon cancer was also diagnosed in his maternal grandmother at age 67 years and his maternal uncle at age 40 years. The patient is asymptomatic. Physical examination is unremarkable.
